Rockstar Unveils GTA 6 Trailer Amidst Leak Turmoil
Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated “Grand Theft Auto 6” has been the subject of numerous leaks over the years, both significant and minor. However, following the unexpected online leak of what appeared to be the full game trailer, Rockstar has taken a bold step. Breaking from their initial plan to premiere the trailer at 9 AM December 5th, they’ve released the official GTA 6 trailer today.
The trailer is a stunning showcase of the game’s expansive scope and, notably, its advanced character technology, setting a new benchmark far beyond what was seen in the introductory trailer of GTA 5.
Spotlight on New Protagonists and Setting for GTA 6
The trailer introduces us to Lucia, starting her journey in prison, hinting at a narrative akin to a modern Bonnie and Clyde saga with her co-protagonist Jason. Despite being one of two central characters, Lucia’s prominent role in the trailer might lead one to believe she’s the sole protagonist – a testament to the depth of her character.
Confirming what was long speculated, the game is officially titled “GTA 6.” This revelation, though widely anticipated, was never formally acknowledged by Rockstar until now.
A New Era in Vice City
“GTA 6” marks a return to the iconic Vice City, but this time the setting is worlds apart from the days of Tommy Vercetti. The contemporary setting is evident from the modern vehicles and environments. The trailer teases a blend of classic GTA mayhem with a distinct Floridian flavour, featuring everything from lavish yacht parties and model gatherings to wild alligators disrupting convenience stores. Additionally, an unexpected amount of twerking in the trailer hints at potential new emotes for GTA 6 Online.
