Opposites Attract: Jakkah & Tyler Loyal Deliver Vibes and Grit on ‘Floating’

Hip-hop artist Jakkah, known for his sharp pen and catchy lyrics, has recently released his latest single Floating featuring fellow rapper Tyler Loyal. The song is certainly a standout that brings versatility and compassion to the forefront. I like the single a lot and I think fellow readers and listeners will appreciate it too. The approach from both artists seem to be the biggest takeaway here because you can clearly notice how contrast but appealing they are. I would describe it as dynamic and authentic. Reminds me a tad bit of Drake and 21 Savage – You wouldn’t have expected it to work but it transitions so well.

Jakkah floats with smooth, melodic delivery, weaving seductive metaphors and cinematic vibes that set the mood for the night. After listening to his other songs like Body Language and Vulnerable you begin to understand his cadence and appeal – it’s marketable and radio friendly! I might go off on a limb here but it is emotionally fluid so hearing Jakkah and transitioning into Tyler Loyal was a little hesitant but I am honestly surprised it was executed so well. Tyler rides the beat well and he is pretty straight to the point. He brings the streets and rugged-style to the discussion and it is a banger! I actually have the song on repeat while writing this article and you start to tell how both artists balance eachother out – both in vibe and clarity. Jakkah provides the atmosphere, Tyler brings the edge—resulting in a record that feels immersive, authentic, and emotionally complete.

I strongly suggest that those that end up reading this article go and listen to Floating and follow both Jakkah and Tyler Loyal because I can tell you now they’re full of potential and very ambitious. Jakkah is a standout indeed and if you want to hear more from him I strongly suggest you also tune into his If Love is War Album he released a little over a year ago. There is so much to grasp from that project alone and just a phenomenal body of work. I do not want to make any comparisons but Jakkah reminds me quite a bit of Nav and Belly and not in terms of sound but just how smooth and structured his songs are. I would love to hear more from him and this single alone shows us he can collaborate beyond just a single artist. Floating is a playlist essential! – And for new listeners… well it is the perfect introduction to Jakkah’s catalog (guaranteed) both grounded in experience and elevated by rhythm – keeping it 100% authentic.
