Music runs deep in Big Cade’s story. Before the studio sessions and singles, there was a young kid with a record player, a Whodini vinyl, and a dream. “I’d scratch that record up pretending I was a DJ,” he laughs. “My mom saw how much I loved music and kept buying me tapes—just told me not to repeat the curse words.”
Those early moments laid the groundwork for something bigger. Years later, Big Cade’s drive took on a powerful meaning when his grandmother, the woman he promised to make proud, passed away. “I told her I’d be a star,” he says. “Even though she didn’t get to see it, I’m still keeping that promise.”
Every lyric, every bar, carries that emotion. His music blends honesty, pain, and hope, weaving together the story of an artist who refuses to quit. “You evolve with life,” he explains. “You don’t go through the same things forever. My music grows with me.”
Big Cade has chosen a singles-first strategy, dropping consistent releases that highlight his versatility. “I started a project,” he says, “but I’m focusing on singles for now. Each track stands strong on its own.”
At his side is Bama Zo, his childhood friend and longtime collaborator. “That’s my brother,” he says proudly. “We’ve been making music together since forever. The chemistry’s natural.”
Though still independent, Big Cade’s work ethic shines through every release. “No big features yet,” he says with a smile, “but maybe by the time this drops, I’ll have one.”
Big Cade’s journey began with poetry, writing verses that became his lyrical foundation. “A friend told me to put my poems to beats,” he recalls. “Once I did, I never stopped.”
