Printz Tone doesn’t believe music needs to be complicated to be meaningful. Growing up in a creative household in Clinton, NC, then traveling overseas in the military, he noticed how the songs he loved weren’t always the deepest they just felt good. That became his blueprint. He says, “I’m cool. I’m myself,” and his sound follows the same philosophy: simple, authentic, and centered around feeling.
“You Got Me” was created directly from that mindset. It’s a song that doesn’t try too hard it just works. “It’s a feel-good song,” he says, created from the energy of summertime and being outside. The production is bright, the melody is smooth, and the vibe is immediate. Printz didn’t want complexity. He wanted movement. As he explains, “I want my listeners to feel good… it should almost make you want to dance a little.” And with this single, that’s exactly what happens.
